Students in my classroom love to hear stories read to them. Being able to hear the story read and see the words on the page at the same time is vital to a kindergartener's reading progress. Due to time constraints in the day, there are only so many read alouds that I am able to provide. Giving my children the opportunity to choose the stories they want to hear and see read to them by using Kindle Fire Tablets along with the QR code stories will increase their reading fluency by hearing fluent readers. In addition, any chance I am able to provide my student with a opportunity to use current technology is also a big plus. By having the opportunity to use the Kindle Tablet and the QR, they are seeing how current technology can help them complete a task, solve a problem and teach them something new!
