With this project, I hope to create a listening center my PreK students will love. With the Kindle Fires, students will be easily able to choose from a wide variety of stories to be read aloud to them. In PreK, students enjoy being read to and I hope that by making read alouds accessible to them, their love for reading will only keep growing. Choice and agency are key for little learners to develop as readers. We currently do not have access to a listening center that PreK students can independently use or one where they have many options to choose from. This project will make it possible for my bilingual students to have access to read alouds of books of their choice in both English and Spanish.
