As a new teacher, I have always envisioned a safe and comfortable classroom for my students. I want to provide an area where students feel comfortable and relaxed in order to focus their attention on the significance of learning rather than being distracted by the classroom. I have put a lot of my own money into this project and need help financially to contribute to this project so I can channel the rest of my classroom money to learning materials. Flexible seating helps provide an open concept classroom. An open concept classroom is beneficial for students because it gives students a learning environment that is adaptable. For my project, I have selected 4 Wobble Stools in order for my students to have the option for flexible seating but still work comfortably at a table or individual desk. Wobble seats also provide students the opportunity to engage their core while they are learning. By engaging the core throughout the day, the students will have improved blood flow and air circulation. I have also added 2 wobble cushions for students to have the opportunity to sit comfortably on their floor with the same great health benefits of the wobble stools. I believe in creating a positive classroom, where students feel safe and comfortable. I care about the learning process just as much as the wellbeing of my students. I would be grateful for the opportunity to receive a grant, and I know my students will greatly appreciate the wonderful opportunity of flexible seating in the classroom.
