Comfortable or differentiated seating will help create a welcoming learning environment in our classroom. My classroom is​ a place that my students really enjoy and feel safe. Creating an area for students to sit, relax and enjoy reading is the key to a successful classroom. Children need to know the classroom is their space to learn. By providing comfortable student seating children are able to access texts on their independent reading level. I want them to be able to sit in a comfy area and enjoy a great book. Creating a space for students to enjoy independent reading will only help enrich their experiences with literature.
