With an iPad I will be able to make more interesting videos to teach new lessons and review previous learning. This will also give me opportunity to connect the iPad with my computer so students can see me as well as materials I am using at the same time. I will also be able to easily make slideshows and show apps to help students with their learning. With the Apple Pencil, I will be able to interact more with students online using Jamboard (since our school is a G Suite school).
When distance/hybrid learning is over, I hope to use the iPad to continue supporting students. This who need more review this basic foundational phonics, reading, or math skills will be able to use it to review letters, sounds, and basic math concepts. I will also be able to use the iPad to take students on virtual field trips using Google Expeditions. The iPad will also be used in class for classroom management, home-school communication, and regular class updates using either Class Dojo and/or Parent Square. I hope the iPad will also be a tool for my second language learners who need translations or visuals to support their learning.
