I teach students who have struggled with reading and reading comprehensions for several years. Many have preformed low since 1st grade. I would like to help end this cycle in 3rd grade. The scholastic weekly news reader will help my students see children their age and open the door to possibilities. Also, the Writing process folder will help students as the learn the steps involved in writing paragraphs and beyond. I want my students to feel proud of how far they have come in the course of the year. I want these items to help open the door to success for my students.
