Each Friday we have a food lab in each class. The students research recipes that meet requirements to be approved based on time it takes, ingredients used, and skill level. Our current refrigerator is a 1980’s mode and is showing signs of its age. A new refrigerator will help to properly store our food each week for our food labs. The students learn diverse skills with the recipes they prepare from week to week! They also get to practice safety and sanitation techniques to properly prepare and cook foods. From smoothies to pastas, to chicken and dumplings, to garlic shrimp, my students look forward to preparing and eating the variety of recipes each week in their FACS class.
