My students are mainly made up of kids of Latino descent and most are first or second generation. It is made up of a low, socio-economic status. Our students parents are either Spanish speaking only or speak two languages at home. Many of our students' families live with their parents and grandparents and/or other family members. We have close to one thousand students on our campus. Our school is fortunate enough to be a span school, which means we have students from kindergarten through eighth grade. My students demonstrate that they are leaders and our pride in our school is grand. We instill the seven Habits of Leadership skills into our students. We want to empower our students to become leaders in and out of school. We truly inspire them to be leaders in our classrooms, our school, at home, and in their community. Our fourth grade classroom is filled with excited students who are are happy to be at school and ready to learn. My students are full of energy and curiosity. They enjoy exploring.
