My students have a relatively low fund of vocabulary and their use of verbs and action words used in correct word order and grammar tend to require prompts. The Action- 50 Photo Card will help us encourage communication and practice utilizing these words in a variety of language settings. My students have a hard time accessing the emotional words needed to express themselves in a way that allows others to truly understand their feelings. The Emotion Picture Cards are especially important in introducing those words in a safe environment to practice and discuss how to use these words to avoid fights and misunderstanding with peers and teachers that I so often see simply because those words aren't there.
