Having quality literature in the form of new books is visually appealing. Some of the titles I chose are very high interest for the students and will help to promote that love of reading even among the most reluctant readers. For example, The Diary of the Wimpy Kid series. Students love these books and they fly off the shelf. Some of the other titles I chose to add to the collection are classics that if students are familiar with them, they will have a connection with the generations who have enjoyed them in the past. When I analyzed our collection, it needs more fiction books. All of these titles are fiction and they are classics that students will enjoy for years to come.
