The wobble chairs in particular will be used for flexible seating during group and independent learning. It is tough being in an open concept learning environment where the next class is a whisper away. However, students with sensory delays or learning disabilities can use the wobble chairs in order to transfer that necessary movement and enhance successful learning. Flexible seating will create a welcoming environment that students can make adjustments to and feel more comfortable with. For example, the large pillows can be used in any learning area of the classroom for a simple accommodation. I have also requested two jumbo beanbag seats. In our school we strive to make career bound citizens and I hope that by providing them with these small accommodations that they need, we can get them one step closer to success.
