This year I introduced coding to students K-8 in a variety of ways! I used Scratch Jr, Scratch, Code.Org and Swift Playgrounds! Coding does much more than teach your students technical skills! It helps teach them critical thinking skills, persistence, determination, creativity, problem-solving skills, math and processing skills! I watch my students light up when they learn something new using the coding apps provided! They are so excited to share with me their classmates their creation! It is always a surprise when a student goes above what you expect them to, and so many of them are! I want to bring their coding to life with robotics for students in grades K-5! Dash is a real robot! Using the apps I have taught them they can bring it to life by creating behaviors using the code that they have been taught!
