Each year my Kinder students come to the classroom with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and needs. This year my students have presented with a unique need to engage all of their senses in the learning activities. These materials will be used to allow for students to engage their senses by interacting with all of the materials within the sensory table in an appropriate learning environment. These materials will allow for students to explore, learn, and receive the sensory input that they are seeking. The materials will be utilized with a variety of other learning materials within the classroom and will allow for students to complete given learning tasks all while using their senses. Along with the materials for the sensory table and bins, I have included unique storage and organizational bins as well as fluorescent light covers. The storage bins will allow students to be responsible with materials by having set areas for the them to be stored within the classroom. The light covers will create a calm learning environment. With no windows within our classroom, the fluorescent lights can be hard to learn under. These covers will soften the lighting, creating a calmer classroom and environment.
