Being able to get to know every child in my building is really special. As a health teacher, I get to know my students on a different and more personal level. Some students absolutely LOVE to read, while others do not. I am convinced those that do not like to read simply have not found a book that sparks their interest. Although the books that are "chosen" for them at school are truly wonderful novels, I want to give my kiddos an opportunity to read outside of the curriculum. My school is dedicating time during the week for either "catch up", re-teach, or enrichment. This gave me a wonderful opportunity to grab the kiddos that do not need any of those, but want to read! Unfortunately, I do not have a library of books in my classroom. The books I have chosen are wonderful for middle school students. There is a variety of genres in the books I have chosen. I truly believe my students will greatly benefit from this project. Thank you so much for your support!!!!
