Kids bouncing on yoga balls! Balls shooting across the room! T-stools slamming to the floor! (Although fun for them, not so fun for us!) Garage sale stools at the back of the room! Homemade sit/stand desks! You name it, we’ve tried it with our energetic and active students. These students often find it challenging to sit in a standard chair. Alas, we believe we have found a solution to our alternative seating dilemma. This donation of wobble stools will benefit our fidgety, active learners, as well as all students within our classroom. We recently discovered wobble stools at High Tech Elementary in San Diego, California, while there for a conference on Deeper Learning. These stools provide the ability to move without the chaos of bouncing and falling students. We were able to try these out ourselves, and we could see that the stools remain where they are placed while allowing students to wiggle and wobble. In our attempt to help our students delve deeper into their learning, we believe these stools will help facilitate that.
