My students are in their first year of school and have many skills to learn, from academic to social to personal responsibility! Just as kids need taught the letters of the alphabet and how to read, many students also need to be taught strategies that will help them become more organized and independent. This gift will do just that! These shelves and corresponding colored trays will allow my youngest learners to clearly keep track of their materials and increase their independence throughout the school day! We already have the materials needed to fill the shelves and trays, materials we already use on a daily basis, but students rely heavily on myself, the teacher, to pass out and maintain these materials. Each table group of students will receive a shelf with colored trays that correspond to their table colors. Their personal responsibility and organization will increase as I prepare them for First Grade! Thank you for helping me teach my students personal responsibility in their daily academic lives!
