The Back to School and Community Wellness Fair is a great opportunity for families to spend time together, learn about the community and get all their back to school needs met under one roof. We offer free medical screenings, information on drugs and alcohol awareness, suicide awareness, free vaccinations, community group information, school supplies, backpacks, hygiene products and a free meal. We are requesting basic school supplies - glue sticks, markers, pencils and crayons - to get the 2018-2019 school year started off without worrying about how Mom or Dad will afford them. In addition to providing students with the tools to begin school we want to educate our students and their families about making healthy life choices that lead to a life on the path of wellness. After completing the screenings and visiting with the vendors the families can enjoy a healthy meal and a chance to discuss living a healthy lifestyle. This can be an opportunity for families to view items received from the vendors and check out their new school supplies. It is hard to believe, but for a single parent or some families, it is a rarity to sit down together and spend quality family time.
