Forensic kits such as crime scene investigations, hair fiber, and fingerprinting will make the forensic science couse so much more interesting. My students will benefit from actually doing the activities in the kit versus just reading about it and doing worksheets. The kits are aligned with the NGSS and match the curriculum that I am currently teaching. Imagine students taking hair samples and finding the suspect or looking at different types of fibers instead of pictures to determine the relationship to the crime scene. The engagement level will be optimal and the scholars eager to come to class to solve the next case.
