I am hoping to build a classroom library that engages, challenges and entertains my students. This classroom library will include fiction series such as Harry Potter and A Series of Unfortunate Events, but there will also a number of books from the "Who Was..." series. It is important that any classroom library reflects the needs of the students and that students feel represented within these stories and narratives. The "Who Was" book series will be used to scaffold biographical research, book reports and thoughtful discussion about the importance of storytelling and history to discuss the importance and beauty of diversity.
