These five seats will be used every day in our classroom whether it is from my 28 homeroom students or from the other fourth graders I will teach science to. They will provide comfortable seating and an outlet to get the "wiggles" out. The flexible seating options we currently have have made a huge impact on student engagement and commitment to learning. Our classroom has become more student control and less teacher controlled. Many flexible seating options stimulate students’ sense of touch. Flexible seating helps with sensory input. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is also helpful for students with ADHD and ADD.
