The reading foundations skills and math problem solving skills I teach in my classroom need to use individual lap whiteboards to practice and apply skills. We use the whiteboards to record dictated sounds and words, practice high frequency and spelling words, and draw pictures to assist in math problem solving. Students also use them to compose a given number in various ways. It is an essential part to ensuring mastery of grade level content standards. This is a daily part of our routine. We use our whiteboards DAILY. The whiteboards and erasers my students currently have are old and in need of replacement. My classes have been using them for six years and the condition of the whiteboards shows their age. Six and seven year olds can be hard on materials. I would like to provide my students this year with new whiteboards. They would be so excited to get them and appreciate the value of others generosity to provide them for our class! (Their teacher knows how important good work tools lead to great results! Thank you so much if you can help!
