I will use the Star Wars themed robots, Sphero Original BB-8 by (No Droid Trainer) and the Star Wars Smart App Enabled R2-D2 Remote Control Robot RC, to teach beginning coding to students. Students will learn how to design their own algorithms and manipulate the robots to make sounds, movements, and do tasks. The Computer Science Industry is one of the fastest growing in the world! The Sphero SPRK+ STEAM Educational Robot and the Orbotix 1B01RW1 Sphero Ollie App-Controlled Robot also have similar uses. Students will be able to have competitions among themselves, and teach each other programs. The purchase of these robots will give students an opportunity to be on an level playing field with other students in the country and in the world.
