Let’s face it – we live in a society that is always changing thanks to the plethora of ever-advancing technology. Technology is huge and learning how to use such technology is huge – which is why it’s good for students to have an understanding of how to use a calculator. Students in 7th and 8th grade in regular, advanced, pre-algebra and algebra classes get to use this calculator on 2 parts of Florida's FSA Assessment. We want to allow the students to use the same type of calculator on the test during class. We want students to be able to accurately use this tool to their advantage. Calculators help our students in their pursuit of mathematical literacy.
