Having iPads in the classroom will offer a more individualized learning path for my students. It will allow our class to branch out into a more blended learning environment with various small groups around the classroom working on what EACH child needs at the moment. I plan to use apps such as Dreambox and iStation (math and reading apps that adapt to each child's learning path and provide amazing data for me to see specific areas of growth and/or struggles). I can assign task on these apps that will target their particular needs. They will be able to take charge of their own learning by becoming more independent and having fun while doing so! I truly believe that all children should be given several avenues for learning and with technology being such a driving force in our society, why not take advantage of this amazing learning opportunity? These ipads will help me to differentiate my instruction to meet each learners unique needs.
