I specifically chose Fire 7 tablets because they are an affordable way for my students to have access to technology. With tablets, I can use several art, photography, reading, writing and math apps. One advantage is that I can format the tablets so that only the apps I want are on them and students cannot access inappropriate content. Since my goal is to help students further their art and English language experiences, this is a very effective way to combine those skills with 21st century learning. This also helps with my classroom budget concerns since there are many times my school cannot afford the materials I need. Students will be able to learn about different aspects of digital media, digital artists, plus be able to do research on topics. By having tablets available, my students will be able to work independently, and be self sufficient when looking up resources. Since students are already comfortable with technology, this is a great help to all of us to have access to so much available information.
