Students in my classroom will use the Chromebooks I am requesting on a daily basis. I would like to assign projects using Google Apps for Education. If my students have access to Chromebooks they will be able to complete weekly Edmodo assignments, create collaborative documents in Google Docs as well as presentations on Google Slides. Having access to Chromebooks in the classroom will allow my students the opportunity to complete these projects, conduct research and enhance their learning as well as prepare for the end of the year tests and exams that are computer-based. Almost every job has a component to it that requires the worker to have effective use of technology. We must model effective use of technology with students from a young age. More importantly, we must make sure they have access to using technology frequently. As I said, my class is a diverse set of learners. With Chromebooks, I can meet the needs of all innovators in my room.
