Access to an iPad (5th generation) and protective case would provide my students with the technology to access apps to support their varied language needs. Some of my students need assistance with articulation skills, some with expressive language, such as grammar, while some need assistance with language comprehension. The use of an iPad is flexible enough to meet the varied needs of many of my students. The iPad is not only useful for apps, but also for video modeling for students when necessary. Communication skills are crucial to success in the future and are best remediated as young as possible. The use of an iPad and apps allows me, as their therapist, to meet their needs of most of my students with one device, rather than many different paper and pencil resources. My students will learn the communication skills they need to succeed utilizing methods that are motivating and engaging.
