The days of the pen and paper are long gone. Today's students need technology at hand all day long. Living in our fast-paced technology driven world and having access to these iPads on a daily basis will challenge and encourage the students' thinking and ability to work independently and individualize their learning. Having iPads in my classroom will offer a variety of learning tools and skills. My students will be able to use the iPads for literacy stations which will enable them to challenge their fluency and comprehension skills, letter/sound recognition, sight word activities and games which will build on their high frequency sight word knowledge. These iPads will also be used for math centers to have students create number stories and use interactive games to build on their number sense. All activities can be differentiated for each student at their independent level throughout the content areas.
