In my pre-k classroom we do a lot of hands-on, independent learning workstations which are totally different from the traditional "centers.” During my workstation block, I have about 18 different math/literacy workstations going on at the same time, all catered to the individual needs of my students. "Ditto" sheets (worksheets) are non-existent in my classroom. Everything is hands-on, interactive learning. With the iPads and headphones that I am requesting, all students will be prepared and ready to engage in a lot of interactive, hands-on learning using technology. My students will be able to log into the iPads every day to help them in different areas of learning. They would also help with fast finishers as well as be used during my small group guided reading instruction. The majority of my class do not own a personal computer or any learning device at home so their only opportunity to working with a technological device is when they are with me during the instructional day. Please help me brighten the eyes of my young minds. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom. Help me give my students this opportunity.
