Throughout my first year of teaching, I have borrowed countless books from co-workers, the library, and even had to find them on Youtube if no one else had them. These books, like "Enemy Pie" and "The Great Kapok Tree", have been used to go along with the 2nd grade curriculum and serve as mentor texts for my students. While my co-workers are always eager to share resources, it would be amazing to have all of these books for my classroom so that I can spend more time teaching and less time trying to track down the books! Having my own copies of these books to keep would also benefit my students because I would no longer have to return them right when my students were becoming interested!
