My students will greatly benefit from these resources. Each activity will allow them to manipulate letters and sounds while they create words they know and words that are new to them. The goal for my students is to better understand individual sounds and blends so they can apply that learning while they read. This is a critical point in my students' educational career where they are working hard to build their literacy skills. These activities will reach my students that learn best through movement and manipulation. Each activity will be utilized during Reading Stations where students will practice skills focused on during whole group and small group learning. They will allow my students to apply learned concepts independently. This will help them grow as leaders of their own learning.
