I work at an inner-city school in Virginia with amazing Kindergartners! The school I work at is in a community where most families bravely serve our country in the military. To the students that attend my school, it is known as a safe haven. They can come there and not have to worry or be scared. They can be kids and use their imagination to discover the endless possibilities that the world has to offer. All of the students that I have encountered during my time at my school work extremely hard both inside and outside of the school day to earn good grades. They tell me stories about how they go home and play school and help everyone in their community with their homework. It is truly a blessing to work at a school where I feel like I learn from my students as much as they learn from me!
