Our school district has a distinguished practice at each of our elementary schools. Our distinguished practice is STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! The supplies in our project will allow my students a more hands-on STEM centered experience! We are always trying to create new learning experiences for them! I always try to extend the hands-on experience with writing and art as well. The Lego "Simple Machines" kits go perfectly with our newly adopted Language Arts program. Using these kits will truly bring the unit to life for my students! They will be able to learn about how to build their own simple machines, as well as put two simple machines together to create a complex machine. The Design & Play STEAM car kits will allow the boys and girls the opportunity to design and engineer/build their own cars. Hands-on activities allow the students to show what they have learned. By donating to this project, you will be giving my students the opportunity to be engineers in the classroom! We are so excited to spark their interests and imaginations!!
