The use of ukuleles in the music classroom will enhance the students' music capabilities. We will use them to learn to read music as well as developing their ability to read rhythms. The students will also learn to play and sing at the same time which can be a difficult task for some students. The Ukuleles will also enhance school programs. We have several school programs each year and I would like for the students to be able to perform using the ukuleles as part of their program experience. I will be using the ukuleles with my 3rd-5th grade students each year. This will allow students to become proficient by the end of their 5th grade year in music class.
