The use of a vacuum cleaner will be very helpful in teaching job skills as well as daily living skills. My class will be able to use the vacuum cleaner to clean offices for job skills and our model apartment for daily living skills. The attachments on the vacuum will provide opportunities for the students to learn specific skills needed to clean and reach hard to vacuum places. In addition, the vacuum cleaner is a great basic tool to learn for kids who have fine motor or gross motor deficiencies.
