Preschool students learn by doing hands-on activities. Most of them are kinesthetic learners in which they learn by being actively engaged in the learning process. The more engaged they are, the more they will master and remember new information. I am trying to create an environment that produces students who display an interest, excitement and enjoy learning, not just for a short period of time, but for a lifetime. The paint will be used for fine motor control while expressing the student's creatively and individuality. For instance, the students will paint flowers or butterflies while we are learning about spring. The construction paper and tissue paper will be used to to make a variety of art projects that go along with letters and content material. For example, the students will make elephants while learning about the letter E. We are almost out of our paint, construction paper, and most art supplies, which is why I am requesting the supplies. I would like to continue with the hands-on activities through the rest of the school year and have enough to start next year as well. Thank you for listening.
