I am requesting various classroom items that will allow my students to demonstrate multiple learning outcomes when working on math lessons and projects throughout the school year. And my hope is that my students will be able to grow more independently and not continue to be dependent on the devices of this digital age. Critical thinking should not become our next National Deficit and with your help, I will be able to utilize these tools in order to encourage independent thinkers. Students today are so engulfed in the digital age that being able to form opinions and speak with confidence is becoming a thing of the past. Teaching students about the importance of critical thinking is not an easy task and any and having this assistance will be a great blessing! Also I will be able to use the Scholastic Magazine subscription I am requesting so that students may find math in the world around them rather than in their math classroom only. The use of the magazines will then encourage deeper research into the topics discussed by which the requested iPads will too be essential.
