The story Wonder is about young boy beginning middle school. The main character Auggie is born with a birth defect, and makes his way through his childhood coping with this struggle; along with typical tween issues. This book has been a best seller, and duplicated on the big screen staring Julia Roberts. I believe the book will show students the details of great writing, and how it begins with a story, and a draft. I'm addition, my goal is for students to relate with the main character; while be molded into a more compassionate child while knowing their self worth, and kindness towards others.
