I teach a group of students with special needs. I am planning on making visual supports for these books to help my students with reading/listening comprehension. I will make story sequencing cards, visual story element cards and a visual test for each story! My students love to read and learn best with the use of visual supports to assist them with reading comprehension! I am planning on using a book a week to teach reading/listening comprehension, vocabulary and writing to my special learners. My students will focus on learning story elements and story sequencing. I have chosen a variety of books across the span of a year that will be of high interest to my students.
