Our students run the gamut from gifted to struggling. Our job as teachers is to make sure all of them get the support they need no matter what it is: other ways to access difficult material, pleasant ways to keep the room happy-looking but distraction-free, high-level enrichment for our gifted students hungry for more and so on. We are a collaborative class with both regular and special education students working side-by-side, often in groups differentiated by specific skills and needs.

About my class
