My scholars have a thirst for learning. Books such as Frog and Toad, Henry and Mudge, and Tug the Pug will provide practice in fluency, phonemic awareness, and comprehension. Some books will be embedded in a lesson (The Fat Cat Sat on the Mat), while others will be part of centers. With their reading level below grade level, my job is to give the foundation needed to comprehend studies in Science, History, and Math, in addition to Language Arts. I believe in my scholars and want to provide them with every opportunity to learn. They have pride in their accomplishments.
