All 500+ of my students are diverse, curious, wonderful, and deserving of awesome art experiences, which is what I'm hoping they will receive. :) They are always excited to attend art because it is a "safe" place for them to creatively express themselves, whether it be artistically or emotionally. Art is the place where they relax and where our non-English speaking students can communicate in a non-threatening environment. They also love the differentiated art activities that surround the classroom and are available to them after they complete their assignments. This is one way they can still have fun, continue to make creative things, and learn while being challenged at their own individual level. To sum up our classroom, it's an environment that's friendly, inviting, conducive to learning, and just plain AWESOME!
