STEAM Squared is a project that will provide educational experiences in the classroom that explore science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math all through reading instruction. The rhythm sticks will allow students to perform the arts and learn about the musical aspect of different cultures. In addition, the engineering kits will allow them to construct bridges and other industrial parts while providing an opportunity for project based learning. The games and other educational resources will give students other avenues to apply the skills they learn to every day life situations. Ultimately, I want to give students practical experiences that compel them to go and educate others about what they have learned. All I want is for them to be able to apply whatever they learn in a realistic sense.
