My 2nd grade classroom is a constant whirlwind of new beginnings, light bulb moments, and the gag real of your favorite comedy. My students are those that come from military-connected, but often single parents homes who are equipped and prepared to inspire those around them by being unapologetically who they are. Each child in my classroom is a titan of opportunity, ready to make mistakes and love each other more because of it. Neil Gaiman once wrote that "Fairy Tales are more than true, not because dragons are real; but because dragons can be beaten." They are my "bright-siders," my "silver-liners," and my "larger-than-lifers."
