My classroom is made up of 27 unique second grade students. Their personalities are silly, dramatic, creative, helpful, and responsible. All of the students have a passion for learning. I like to make learning fun and have students explore their own learning. Some of my students like coming to school for the simple stability of it. The classroom is a positive, safe, nurturing, and growing community. I like to pass my love of reading onto my students. I think it is important to teach them that books will allow them to go anyplace they choose. Books help them become responsible for their learning. A love for reading helps establish a foundation for a love of learning. Another passion we have in our classroom is math. We love to use manipulative and explore to become engaged in our learning.
