Even though the Park is only two blocks away, most of my students do not get that many chances to visit because usually both parents work long hours and because of this do not have the time to take them. This is why I plan art trips that connect to my art lessons to create a fun experience they won't soon forget. And because my school is a title 1. which means we are 80% free lunch program, I would like them to have the experience of using professional pencils and sketchbooks that they could call their own and to use on our trip to the Whitney musuem as well as the classroom.
