Many of my high school students need help focusing in positive ways. Many times it is difficult for students to sit in desks for long periods of time trying to focus on reading or writing. They enjoy incorporating movement in a reading and writing class. Standing desks will help them focus while using their excess energy. By improving focus and concentration, these desks will also help my students keep up with the increased rigor of high school English. I am trying to create a classroom environment that supports my students needs. The more students who can improve their focus, the more credits they will earn towards graduation.
