Helping fund this project will allow me as an educator to toss out the desk and use a group table at all times. It will allow to me to meet with small groups and individuals to help meet each individual child where they are academically. The organizer will allow the students to keep track of their own materials, homework, notes and important papers. These young students learn so much in their short year of kindergarten! They must learn concepts such as tying shoes, self regulation, organizational skills as well as academic concepts correlated to common core standards. All of these materials will all then to thrive in a well organized, hands-on environment.
