I have a Special Education classroom with dedicated students in need of more calculators. Students will need to use these inexpensive yet versatile calculators to develop their critical thinking skills in the area of mathematics. The scientific applications will assist my students with their problematic areas such as subtraction, division, and factor to decimal conversions. I use a variety of math games in my class to support the connection between creativity and deduction. These games build math fundamentals such as number concepts, strategies, and computational fluency. Shut the Box is a great game that enhances quick deduction and probability strategies in small peer to peer group setting.
