My students need games and activities that focus on dealing with the emotions that come from being different. By sports and music, students are able to show that they are able to accomplish things that other students are not able to. My students with special needs are often reminded of how they are not like others. There testing scores do not allow them to get electives. They need to feel that everyone is good at something. I am good at writing music. I am good at passing the basketball. I am good at making up games. I am someone who is going to have a great life and have success.
